Wedding guest transportation in the Dominican Republic
Your guests are arriving on dozens of different flights, across several days, into more than one airport. We give you a system for that: a branded Guest Transport Portal where every guest submits their own flight, every request waits for your approval, and every approved request becomes a real dispatched reservation.
Transekur has operated since 2012, running airport transfers and large-event transportation across the country. Wedding guest transport is the same operation, with a planner's dashboard on top of it.

The part of the wedding nobody plans for
Every planner recognises this list. It is not a transportation problem, it is a coordination problem.
- Sixty guests arriving on forty different flights, across four days.
- A WhatsApp group where the arrival details nobody reads scroll past by noon.
- A guest spreadsheet that is stale the moment you send it.
- Three couples landing at 11pm with no ride, calling you.
The portal replaces all of it with one link you send once, and an approval inbox you control.
The Guest Transport Portal
A branded event page for your wedding, with the routes and vehicle classes you approve already locked in.
- 01
We build your event page
You get a branded guest page on its own event URL — the wedding logo, hero image and the couple's names. We load the routes, vehicle classes and service types you approve, and nothing outside them can be requested.
- 02
Guests submit their flights
Guests open the link, pick their arrival date, see that day's airlines, choose their real flight and submit. No account, no password. Pickup time is computed from the actual flight schedule, not from a time the guest guessed.
- 03
You approve, we drive
Every request lands in your approval inbox as pending. Approve or reject from the email button or the dashboard. Approved requests become real dispatched reservations in the same operations system that runs every Transekur trip.

Who pays — you decide
This is the first question every planner asks, so here is the plain answer: both models work, and you choose.
The hosts cover it
The couple or their families pay for all guest transportation.
- Guests never see a price anywhere in the process.
- Guests submit their flight, you approve, the ride is handled.
- The event closes with one consolidated invoice for the whole wedding.
- You keep control of which routes and vehicle classes exist.
Each guest pays their own
Guests pay for their own transfer, and the hosts still run the operation.
- Hosts still lock the routes, the vehicle classes and the service types.
- Every request still passes through your approval inbox.
- Guests see and settle their own transfer when they submit it.
- You still get the full Excel manifest of who is arriving when.

Vehicles, by what the day actually needs
Full specifications and capacities live on the fleet page. Here is how the classes map to a wedding manifest.
The couple and immediate family
Full-Size SUV · up to 6 passengers
The arrival that matters most: a full-size SUV with room for the dress boxes and the photographer's cases.
Guest pairs and small families
Minivan · up to 5 passengers
Most guest arrivals are two to five people with luggage — the minivan is the workhorse of a wedding manifest.
Group shuttles between hotel and venue
Mercedes Sprinter · up to 16 passengers
The Sprinter moves a block of guests together, which is what you want for a ceremony call time.
Big single-flight arrivals
Large Bus · up to 50 passengers
When a large part of the guest list lands on one flight, the coach clears them in a single movement.
The standard your guests meet
Your guests judge the wedding by the first person they meet after customs.
- Uniformed chauffeurs, briefed on the event before the first arrival.
- Meet and greet inside arrivals with a tablet name-board for each guest.
- Every inbound flight monitored, so the driver is there at the real landing time.

Wedding transportation questions
- How do wedding guests get from Punta Cana airport to the resort?
- Through private, pre-arranged transfers. Each guest's flight is monitored, a uniformed driver meets them inside arrivals holding a name board, and they ride straight to the resort with no shared stops. With the Guest Transport Portal, guests submit their own flight and the planner approves each request before it is dispatched.
- Who pays for guest transportation at a destination wedding?
- Either model works. The hosts can cover everyone, in which case guests never see a price anywhere in the process. Or each guest pays for their own transfer while the hosts still control the approved routes, the vehicle classes and which requests are approved. You choose when the portal is set up.
- How far is Punta Cana airport from Cap Cana?
- Per our route data, TRS Cap Cana Waterfront & Marina Hotel is 20 minutes from PUJ, and Sanctuary Cap Cana is 22 minutes from PUJ. Your guests' actual pickup times are computed from their real flight schedules, so a delayed arrival is met when the aircraft lands rather than at the time originally planned.
- How far is Punta Cana airport from Uvero Alto?
- Per our route data, Live Aqua Punta Cana is 46 minutes from PUJ, and Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana is 46 minutes from PUJ. Uvero Alto sits on the quieter coastal road north of the main strip, so wedding guests arriving late in the evening benefit most from a private, flight-monitored transfer.
- What is the closest airport to Casa de Campo?
- La Romana International (LRM) is the closest gateway. Per our route data, Hilton La Romana is 19 minutes from LRM, and Casa de Campo Resort and Villas is 14 minutes from LRM. Guests flying into Punta Cana or Santo Domingo instead are still served on the same wedding manifest.
- How do you organize transfers for 60 wedding guests?
- With the Guest Transport Portal. You get a branded event page on its own URL, with the routes, vehicle classes and service types you approve already locked in. Guests submit their real flights, every request lands in your approval inbox, and approved requests become dispatched reservations in our operations system.
- Can wedding guests book on the couple's account?
- Yes — that is the hosts-pay model. Guests submit their flight through the event page and never see a price at any point, because the hosts are covering transportation. The planner or couple approves each request, and the whole wedding closes with one consolidated invoice instead of dozens of receipts.
- What happens if a wedding guest's flight is delayed?
- We monitor every inbound flight, so the driver is scheduled against the actual arrival rather than the original time. Your driver then waits up to 2 hours after landing at no extra charge. The planner does not need to send an update, because the pickup already moved with the flight.
- Can you provide child seats for wedding guests?
- Yes. Child seats are available at US$5.00 per trip. Add the request with the guest's transfer so the seat is fitted in the assigned vehicle before pickup rather than at the curb. Families travelling with small children are usually placed in a minivan or full-size SUV for the luggage room.
- Can we get one invoice for all wedding guest transportation?
- Yes. When the hosts are covering transportation, the event closes with a single consolidated invoice covering every approved guest trip. Before that, you can export the full guest manifest to Excel at any time, so your running budget and your guest list never depend on a spreadsheet somebody emailed last week.
- How far in advance should we book wedding guest transportation?
- As soon as your venue and date are fixed, before your guests start booking flights. That way the event page exists when your save-the-dates go out, and guests submit flights as they book them instead of you collecting arrival details by message in the final week before the wedding.
- What is the cancellation policy for wedding group transportation?
- The same published policy applies to every trip, including wedding groups: 14 or more days before pickup — Full refund. 13 days to 48 hours before pickup — 50% refund, or a 100% credit valid for one year. Inside 48 hours, or no-show — Non-refundable. Larger multi-vehicle movements are confirmed with your coordinator alongside the event schedule.
