Samaná's own El Catey (AZS) is the closest airport and gives the shortest drive, but it runs a thin seasonal schedule.
In practice most Las Terrenas guests fly into Santo Domingo (SDQ) and take the Nordeste highway corridor as one direct private transfer — that is the flagship Samaná route and we say so plainly.
