Work with Transekur
Since 2012 Transekur has moved travellers across the Dominican Republic the same way: we own our vehicles, we employ our drivers, and every trip runs to a written standard. The company a guest books is the company that shows up — and the people who show up are us.
We hire few people, and we hire the best. If that sounds like you, read on.
Fluent English is mandatory for every role at Transekur.
Our philosophy
Transekūr means safe transport
Transekur began in June 2012 as a contraction of transporte seguro — safe transport. The idea was that a premium ride is first a prepared one: trained bilingual chauffeurs, modern vehicles, Wi-Fi and drinks on board, and a written procedure for every step.
From the start we owned our vehicles and employed our drivers instead of reselling third-party operators. Almost nobody in the market did that. It costs more. It is also the only way to be accountable for what actually happens on the road.
Santo Domingo had no premium ground transport of the kind every other major capital took for granted. Trained bilingual drivers, onboard Wi-Fi and cold drinks were standard with us from day one. The industry followed on all three.

Safety and internal controls
Safety is a procedure, not a slogan
Everyone who works here works inside the Transekur Care Standard. These are documented rules from our operating manual — the standard you will be trained on and held to.
Trained to a written standard
Induction, road-regulation training and our operating manual come before the first assignment. The same manual applies to the additional chauffeurs we hire directly for large events.
Inspected the day you travel
Before a vehicle leaves the base, the chauffeur and an operations auxiliary inspect it together. A written inspection follows every week, and the vehicle is checked again when it returns.
Followed by dispatch
An operations supervisor monitors every service by GPS in real time; the complete route stays on record. Unplanned stops, detours or delays are reported to dispatch as they happen.
Conduct on duty
Seat belt on, phone off while driving, no alcohol or controlled substances at work, and company speed limits below the legal highway limit — backed by GPS alerts and a disciplinary policy.
Every incident is a lesson
Every accident is investigated for its root cause, and the corrective measures are shared with every chauffeur.
Identified and discreet
Uniformed, wearing a visible company ID, and greeting every guest by name. What is said or seen in the vehicle stays there.
A mark of prestige
A Transekur uniform means something
Our chauffeurs drive company vehicles in company uniform, our representatives meet guests inside the terminals, and our dispatch desk runs every trip live, day and night. Wearing the uniform means you were chosen, trained and trusted to carry the name.
Transekur also created Transekur Transpo, the first company in the Dominican Republic with a dedicated fleet of vehicles and equipment for production — today the largest production-trailer operation in the country. The standards the industry later copied were set by the people who work here.

Electric fleet
Electric, early
We started buying electric vehicles in 2020. The fleet today includes fully electric Volvo XC40 Recharge vehicles, operated with the same model of owned vehicles and employed chauffeurs as everything else, and we replace each category when an electric version exists.

Who fits
We are selective, on purpose
Every person we hire represents the company to a traveller who chose us because we are not the cheapest option. Apply if all of this is true about you:
- You speak English fluently. It is mandatory for every role, without exception.
- You are on time, every time — a flight that lands early is not an excuse.
- You follow a procedure even when nobody is watching, because the procedure is the promise.
- You stay calm and kind with a tired, upset traveller.
- You take pride in the details: the uniform, the clean cabin, the name on the sign.
If you are looking for a job you can do halfway, this is not it — and that is fine.
