The official transportation of the Hyatt resorts at Cap Cana
We are the official transportation provider of Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana and Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana. That designation matters more than it sounds: the resort vetted our licensing, insurance, vehicles and drivers before granting it, and it means our vehicles and staff are known at the gate.
It is also the only resort in the country where we hold that title, and we are proud of it.
What the transfer looks like
- A driver waiting inside the arrivals hall with your name, at either PUJ terminal.
- Live flight tracking, so a delay simply moves your pickup.
- A private vehicle for your party only — no shared shuttle, no waiting for other guests.
- Bilingual drivers, air conditioning, cold drinks and onboard Wi-Fi.
Book before you fly
Cap Cana arrivals cluster around the same afternoon flight bank, so the earlier you book, the more vehicle choice you have. See the full route detail on our Punta Cana airport to Cap Cana page, or pick your vehicle class on the fleet page.
Add fast track to the arrival
If you would rather skip the immigration and customs queues entirely, VIP fast track can be added to the same booking and handed over to your driver at the private exit.
Getting to Hyatt Ziva & Zilara Cap Cana: which airport
Hyatt Ziva & Zilara Cap Cana sits inside the gated Cap Cana community just south of the airport. Punta Cana International (PUJ) is the primary gateway and the airport most guests use. Santo Domingo Las Américas (SDQ) is the alternative, with a wider spread of international flights and often cheaper fares. We run the transfer as a single private vehicle from either one, so the decision is usually about flight schedules and fares rather than logistics. Route detail for the area is on our Punta Cana airport to Cap Cana page.
Typical driving time: about 40 min from Punta Cana Airport (PUJ) · 141 min from Santo Domingo (SDQ) · 69 min from La Romana (LRM). Driving times via Google Maps routing, computed August 2026 — actual times vary with traffic.
Your arrival day at Hyatt Ziva & Zilara Cap Cana
We take your flight number at booking and monitor the flight, so your pickup follows the arrival that actually happens. Your chauffeur is waiting inside the arrivals hall with a tablet showing your name, helps with the luggage, and there is cold bottled water in the vehicle. From there it is one direct drive to the resort lobby. The community is gated, and your chauffeur handles the gate process on arrival — we confirm the resort or villa address at booking so there is nothing for you to sort out at the entrance. You also have two hours of free waiting time after landing, which covers a slow immigration hall or a late bag.
Ride-hailing is not a fallback here: pickup by app-based cars at Punta Cana Airport is restricted, which is why a pre-booked transfer is the reliable arrangement — the detail is in can I take an Uber at Punta Cana airport.
The public landmarks inside the community are Playa Juanillo and the Marina at Cap Cana; both are within Cap Cana itself, so your chauffeur passes the same gate either way.
Leaving Hyatt Ziva & Zilara Cap Cana: your departure pickup
Our dispatch schedules the return pickup around your departure flight and keeps watching it for changes. Before the pickup we reconfirm the details with you — passenger count, luggage and the exact meeting point at the resort — so the vehicle that arrives is the right size for what you are travelling home with. If your flight time moves, the pickup moves with it; we do not hold you to a fixed hour set weeks earlier.
