An airport taxi is sensible when the journey is straightforward, the party is small, luggage is ordinary, no child seat or specialist equipment is required, and you are comfortable arranging the details after landing. Pre-booking becomes more useful when you want written confirmation, a named meeting method, a vehicle selected for a family or group, child equipment, a return collection, or dispatch following the flight. The decision is not about declaring every taxi or app unsuitable. It is about how much of the journey you need settled before the aircraft lands.

• Own fleet, own drivers. Operators who own their vehicles and employ their drivers are accountable for both. Brokers who resell someone else's car are not.
