Booked before you fly, straight to the resort
A private transfer means the vehicle is yours alone. We take your flight number when you book, watch the flight, and place a chauffeur inside the arrivals hall with a welcome tablet showing your name. From there it is one vehicle and one stop: Dreams La Romana.
Nothing is arranged at the curb, there is no shared shuttle filling up with other resorts' guests, and no driver has to be dispatched after you land.
Dreams La Romana
Dreams La Romana is an all-inclusive resort on the Bayahibe coast near La Romana. We operate daily private transfers to the property, in both directions.
Arriving on the Bayahibe coast
The Bayahibe coast near La Romana is west of Punta Cana, and it is served by three airports rather than one, which is the main thing to get right before you fly. Whichever you land at, the transfer is a single private vehicle straight to the resort entrance.
Large resorts often have more than one entrance, and the resort name alone is not always enough. We record the specific property and entrance at booking so your chauffeur delivers you to the correct reception rather than the one next door.
Which vehicle you need
Capacity comes straight from our booking system. The vehicle model is assigned by class, not by specific model.
- Small SUV (Volvo XC40) — up to 2 passengers and 2 suitcases. Couples travelling light.
- Minivan (Hyundai Staria) — up to 5 passengers and 5 suitcases. The usual choice for a family.
- Full-Size SUV (Ford Expedition Max) — up to 6 passengers and 6 suitcases, with the luggage room for golf clubs.
- Mercedes Sprinter — up to 16 passengers and 16 suitcases, for a wedding party or a multi-family group.
- Large Bus — up to 50 passengers, for a full group movement.
The whole range, with photography, is on the fleet page. If you would rather keep a car and chauffeur for the week instead of a one-way arrival, that is our private chauffeur service.
Add VIP Fast Track to the arrival
If you want to skip the immigration and customs queues, VIP Fast Track can be added to the same arrival and handed to your chauffeur at the private exit. It is worth it on the busy afternoon flight bank.
Dreams resorts we serve
We run private transfers to the Dreams properties across the east of the country, each with its own arrival guide:
- Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana
- Dreams Flora Resort & Spa
- Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana
- Dreams Onyx Resort & Spa

Getting to Dreams La Romana: which airport
Dreams La Romana sits on the Bayahibe coast west of Punta Cana, near La Romana. Punta Cana International (PUJ) is the primary gateway and the airport most guests use. Santo Domingo Las Américas (SDQ) is the alternative with a wider flight spread, and La Romana (LRM) itself is the closest airport although it handles far fewer flights. We run the transfer as a single private vehicle from either one, so the decision is usually about flight schedules and fares rather than logistics. Route detail for the area is on our La Romana airport transfers page. If you are still choosing flights, our guide to choosing an airport for Hilton La Romana and Bayahibe covers the trade-offs.
Typical driving time: about 57 min from Punta Cana Airport (PUJ) · 94 min from Santo Domingo (SDQ) · 23 min from La Romana (LRM). Driving times via Google Maps routing, computed August 2026 — actual times vary with traffic.
Your arrival day at Dreams La Romana
We take your flight number at booking and monitor the flight, so your pickup follows the arrival that actually happens. Your chauffeur is waiting inside the arrivals hall with a tablet showing your name, helps with the luggage, and there is cold bottled water in the vehicle. From there it is one direct drive to the resort lobby. You also have two hours of free waiting time after landing, which covers a slow immigration hall or a late bag.
Ride-hailing is not a fallback here: pickup by app-based cars at Punta Cana Airport is restricted, which is why a pre-booked transfer is the reliable arrangement — the detail is in can I take an Uber at Punta Cana airport.
Bayahibe village and the Bayahibe beaches are the public landmarks on this coast.
Leaving Dreams La Romana: your departure pickup
Our dispatch schedules the return pickup around your departure flight and keeps watching it for changes. Before the pickup we reconfirm the details with you — passenger count, luggage and the exact meeting point at the resort — so the vehicle that arrives is the right size for what you are travelling home with. If your flight time moves, the pickup moves with it; we do not hold you to a fixed hour set weeks earlier.
