La Romana's airport does not run to the rhythm of resort charters the way Punta Cana's does; it runs to the rhythm of private and regional traffic, which means fewer movements, less queuing, and a building sized for that quieter pattern rather than for peak-season crowds. For a guest stepping off a private aircraft, that is the entire appeal — the airport is proportioned to the flight, not the other way around.

That also means the experience does not resemble a commercial arrival at all.
