The resort, and what is actually open
Opened November 2024 as Sunrise Miches Beach — itself a takeover of the never-fully- launched Temptation Grand Miches — and converted to Marriott in 2025. Room count genuinely conflicts across sources: about 400 open, 500 planned.
Marriott lists four restaurants and three bars: IBO for seafood, Solano for the Latin buffet, Neko for Asian, Cabana for snacks, Moka for coffee, plus the Atrio and Boca Chica bars. Trade press reports six outlets now against eleven planned.

Praised: staff effort, spacious modern rooms, an almost empty beach, no sargassum, value.
