For a Punta Cana family airport transfer with a child seat, prebook and tell us the number of adults and children, the required restraint type, and every suitcase, cabin bag and stroller.
Make one luggage list for the whole family
We confirm the child-seat request and choose a vehicle category that can accommodate the family and its belongings together. A vehicle’s passenger limit does not guarantee space for a full luggage load. Send us your flight, hotel, email address and mobile number as well. Before pickup, keep our email and SMS details available so you can verify the time, driver information and instructions for meeting our team at Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ).
Count bulky family items separately
A folded stroller, travel cot or unusually shaped bag may occupy more cargo space than expected. List checked suitcases, cabin bags, strollers and other large items separately instead of describing everything simply as luggage. If an item has unusual dimensions, send the details through our private booking channel. This helps our team assess the complete passenger-and-luggage arrangement before travel.
Do not rely only on the passenger limit
Four passengers carrying small bags create a different space requirement from four passengers with suitcases, a stroller and a child seat. An advertised maximum passenger count should not be treated as a promise that every luggage combination will fit. Vehicle names may also illustrate a category rather than guarantee one specific model. We recommend asking us to confirm the complete arrangement shown on your reservation.
Request the child seat before arrival
Child seats should never be treated as a last-minute detail. Roads and traffic in the Dominican Republic can feel busy and unpredictable to visiting families, so the appropriate restraint matters from the moment you leave PUJ. Tell us during booking that you are travelling with a child, which restraint you are requesting and whether it is needed for the airport arrival, the return journey or both. We will confirm what has been arranged before travel. A request alone should not be assumed to be confirmed until it appears in our communication or reservation details.
Understand the main child-restraint types
Common categories include rear-facing seats, forward-facing seats with a harness and booster seats used with the vehicle seat belt. The appropriate category depends on the child and the limits specified by the restraint manufacturer. Provide the child’s age, height and weight when our team requests them. We cannot decide suitability from age alone, and a general travel article cannot replace the instructions supplied with a particular restraint.
Tell us if you are bringing your own seat
Some parents prefer to travel with a familiar child seat. If you bring your own, notify us instead of listing it as an ordinary piece of luggage. It takes up space during the transfer even when it is not occupied, and our team needs to consider that when reviewing the vehicle category. Bring the relevant manufacturer instructions and confirm the installation arrangement before the journey.
Confirm every child separately
For two or more children, list each child and the requested restraint independently. Do not write only that you need child seats, because one child may require a rear-facing restraint while another uses a booster. Clear information helps us check the request correctly and avoids assumptions when your driver prepares for the pickup.
Keep arrival instructions easy to find
Prebooking gives our team time to review your flight, family size, luggage and child-seat request. Provide an email address you can access while travelling and a mobile number that can receive SMS messages in the Dominican Republic. We use the confirmed contact details to send pickup information, including the scheduled time, driver details when assigned and instructions for meeting our team at Punta Cana International Airport.
Save these messages or take screenshots before flying. Airport internet access and mobile service can vary, and the person who made the reservation may not be the person leading the family through arrivals. Share the instructions with another adult in the group.
Follow the instructions for your booked service
Read the meeting-point information rather than following an unofficial greeter or relying on general online advice. A family using a standard transfer may receive different directions from a family that has also booked airport assistance. PUJ has different arrival areas, so use the terminal and meeting instructions sent for your specific flight and reservation.
Send flight changes promptly
If the airline changes your flight number, arrival time or travel date, send us the revised information through the approved contact method. When relatives arrive on separate flights, tell us who will travel in each vehicle and which passengers have the stroller, child seat and suitcases. This prevents the luggage or restraint details from being attached to the wrong part of the family.
Treat the return as its own journey
The transfer back to PUJ should be reviewed separately from the arrival. Your family may leave from a different hotel, travel with additional bags or have a different number of passengers. Confirm the pickup location, departure flight and child-seat request for that leg rather than assuming the arrival information automatically carries over.
We also recommend checking the return pickup time in the email and SMS confirmation. Use the full name of the hotel, resort, villa or other accommodation, and provide any access instructions our driver may need. Be ready at the agreed meeting place with children, luggage and personal child seats organized. If the group’s plans change, contact our team as soon as possible so we can review the updated arrangement.
Send this summary with your inquiry
A complete message helps us review the transfer without guessing. You can use this template:
“We are travelling with [number of adults] and [number of children]. The children’s ages, heights and weights are [details]. We request [rear-facing seat, forward-facing seat or booster] for [arrival, departure or both]. We have [checked bags], [cabin bags], [strollers] and [other large items]. Our flight is [flight number and date], and our destination is [full accommodation name]. Our email is [address], and our SMS number is [mobile number].”
If you are bringing your own restraint, include that in the message. Our team can then review the child-seat request, passenger count, luggage fit and meeting arrangements together. Before travel, check that your confirmation reflects the correct date, flight, pickup time and contact information.
