Punta Cana Airport (PUJ) to Royalton CHIC Punta Cana
Royalton CHIC Punta Cana is adults-only and, unlike the other Royalton-branded resorts on this coast, it is not in Bávaro. It sits at Uvero Alto, which our dispatch system treats as its own zone.
That distinction is the whole of this page. Uvero Alto is beyond the Bávaro strip, so the drive is longer than the resort's name suggests and the arrival is worth arranging rather than improvising.
The way we handle it is unremarkable and deliberate: the vehicle is pre-assigned to your booking, the flight is tracked, and the chauffeur waits up to two hours after landing at no extra charge.
Typical driving time to the Uvero Alto zone, where the resort sits: about 47 min from Punta Cana Airport (PUJ) (42 km). These are zone-level figures for the whole Uvero Alto dispatch zone rather than one property — every resort on this coast dispatches from the same routing row. Dispatch planning figure from our own zone matrix, and actual times vary with traffic. Driving estimates exclude immigration, baggage claim and hotel check-in.

Book my Uvero Alto transferCHIC is at Uvero Alto, not in Bávaro
The name says Punta Cana; the location is Uvero Alto, along the coast past the Bávaro hotels. In our routing data it is a separate zone with its own drive figure.
It is a genuinely easy assumption to get wrong, because the four other Royalton-branded resorts nearby are Bávaro properties and share a shorter zone figure between them. Guests who compare this transfer to those, or who assume every hotel with "Punta Cana" in its name is the same distance from the terminal, plan the day short. The figure published on this page is the Uvero Alto number, and it is the one we dispatch from.
Why the vehicle is assigned before you land
Your booking is matched to a vehicle and a chauffeur in advance. Nothing about your arrival depends on what is available at the terminal when you walk out.
On a short hop that is a convenience. On the longer run out to Uvero Alto it is the difference between a transfer and a negotiation, because the vehicle that takes you there is committed to your party for the whole drive and is not going to be reassigned to a closer, quicker job. Class is chosen from your passenger and suitcase counts, both of which are fixed limits per class and published on the fleet page.
The flight is tracked, and waiting is included
We monitor the inbound flight, so a delay moves the pickup rather than losing it. The chauffeur then waits up to two hours after landing at no extra charge.
Both matter more at this distance. A guest who lands two hours late and no longer has a ride is a long way from an easy alternative, and this is not a stretch of coast to improvise a solution on at night. Tracking the flight and holding the vehicle removes that scenario before it exists — the same reason we send you the meeting point in writing rather than expecting you to find one.
One booking, one assigned vehicle
Give us the flight, the party and the resort name in full. The vehicle is assigned to that booking before you travel, not found for you when you land.
Where we meet you inside Punta Cana Airport (PUJ)
The meeting point is confirmed to you in writing before departure, with a name sign in the arrivals area so you are not searching among several flights' worth of passengers.
If you would rather not stand in the immigration line at all, a VIP fast track meets arriving passengers ahead of it and moves the party through immigration and customs as a group, handing over directly to the chauffeur. The Punta Cana Airport (PUJ) hub covers how the two services fit together.
The drive out to Uvero Alto
Uvero Alto is its own dispatch zone in our system, and the figure on this page is the number that zone is dispatched from.
It is a planning figure: it varies with traffic and it covers the road only. Immigration, baggage claim and check-in are outside it, which is why the pickup is timed off your flight rather than a slot. It is also long enough that the vehicle class is worth getting right — a party that fits but is cramped will notice it here in a way it would not on a fifteen-minute hop.
An adults-only booking, and what we do not claim
CHIC is an adults-only resort, so most bookings here are couples or small groups, and the vehicle question is usually settled by luggage rather than head count.
Beyond that, what the resort includes and how it is arranged is Royalton's to describe, not ours. We publish what we can verify: the zone drive figure from our own dispatch data, the meeting point, the waiting allowance, the vehicle classes and their capacities. Anything about the property itself belongs on the property's own site.
Departure day, and the extra margin
The return pickup is agreed in advance against the same resort name, and set from your flight and your airline's published check-in window.
From Uvero Alto that means leaving earlier than a Bávaro guest on the same flight would — the zone figure is longer, and the check-in window does not move to accommodate it. We build the departure time from both numbers rather than the drive alone. Cancellations follow our standing policy: full refund fourteen or more days before pickup, partial refund or a one-year credit inside that window, nothing refundable inside forty-eight hours.
Late arrivals on the road out of Bávaro
A good share of flights into Punta Cana Airport (PUJ) land in the evening, and from the terminal the Uvero Alto run is done in the dark on roads you have never driven.
It is the ordinary case rather than a warning, and it is exactly the case a pre-arranged transfer is for. The vehicle is already assigned to your booking, the chauffeur already has the resort name and the reservation holder, and the flight is tracked, so a late landing moves the pickup instead of leaving you looking for options at an hour when there are fewer of them. Two hours of included waiting covers a slow immigration hall on top of that. None of it is dramatic; it simply removes the part of the evening where you would otherwise be making decisions while tired.
Morning arrivals get the same arrangement, and the only real difference is traffic rather than daylight. Either way the timing is built from your flight, so you are not asked to guess how long the terminal will take before you have even landed. The pickup time you receive is the one we dispatch from, and it moves with the aircraft rather than with the clock we agreed weeks earlier.

This page describes an arrival, not a property. It states only where the property is, which airport serves it and what the resort itself publishes about transfers; it makes no claim about rooms, rates, facilities or awards. Confirm any resort detail with the property.
Airport names, terminal layouts and flight schedules are the airports' and airlines' own and change without notice; confirm your own itinerary with your airline. Driving figures on this page come from our routing dataset, are planning figures that vary with traffic, and exclude immigration, baggage claim and hotel check-in. Where the dataset holds no figure for a pair, this page makes the point without a number rather than estimating one.
