Punta Cana Airport (PUJ) to Ocean El Faro
Ocean El Faro is located in Uvero Alto, Punta Cana, and it holds two distinct sections: the adults-only El Beso and the family Daisy Club. Uvero Alto sits beyond the Bávaro hotel strip rather than inside it.
That geography is the whole story of this transfer. It is the longest of the Punta Cana runs on this coast, and unlike the short Bávaro hops it is a drive you feel in both directions.
So we plan the departure at the same time as the arrival. The road home takes the same zone time again, and the airline's check-in window sits on top of it — which makes an improvised departure the most expensive mistake available here.
Typical driving time to the Uvero Alto zone, where the resort sits: about 47 min from Punta Cana Airport (PUJ) (42 km). These are zone-level figures for the whole Uvero Alto dispatch zone rather than one property — every resort on this coast dispatches from the same routing row. Dispatch planning figure from our own zone matrix, and actual times vary with traffic. Driving estimates exclude immigration, baggage claim and hotel check-in.

Book my Ocean El Faro transferUvero Alto is not the Bávaro strip
The resort publishes its location as Uvero Alto, Punta Cana. That is the coast north of the Bávaro hotel zone, and it is a different kind of drive: longer, quieter and with less traffic to sit in.
Guests who have stayed in Bávaro before sometimes assume a comparable hop. It is not, and pretending otherwise creates a departure that leaves too late. Our Uvero Alto destination guide and the Punta Cana Airport (PUJ) to Uvero Alto corridor page both cover the run in more detail.
Two sections, one address, one exact name
Ocean El Faro publishes an adults-only El Beso section and a family Daisy Club section. They are parts of the same resort rather than separate hotels, so the drop-off address is the same.
We still take the section name at booking, because knowing whether you are checking into the adults-only side or the family side tells us who is travelling and what has to be in the vehicle — child seats and pram space on one, usually not on the other. It is a question that shapes the vehicle, not the route.
The drive figure, and where it comes from
The number above is the Uvero Alto row of our own dispatch zone matrix, the same figure our other Uvero Alto pages publish. Every property on this coast dispatches from that row, so we do not invent a per-hotel variant of it.
It covers driving only, varies with traffic, and excludes immigration, baggage claim and hotel check-in. Our Dreams Macao Beach transfers page is on the same coast and reads the same table, which is exactly why the numbers agree.
Book both directions in one go
Enter your arrival flight, your party and your departure flight. We set the return pickup from the flight time and the check-in window rather than from the drive alone, so the longer run back is already accounted for.
Why the return has to be booked, not assumed
Going home, you owe the road the same zone time again, and then the airline wants you at the terminal well before departure. Added together, that pickup is earlier than most guests expect on their last morning.
We calculate it from your flight and the check-in window and confirm it in writing, so nobody is doing that arithmetic over breakfast. If your flight time changes, tell us and we recalculate; the fixed point is the flight, not the pickup we agreed weeks earlier.
Arriving at Punta Cana Airport (PUJ)
Your chauffeur waits inside the arrivals hall of the terminal your flight lands in, holding a welcome board with your name on it. Nothing is arranged at the curb, and there is no queue at the rank to join.
We monitor the inbound flight and move the pickup to the real arrival time, waiting up to two hours after landing at no extra charge. That matters more on a long run than a short one: nobody wants to start a drive of this length by first arguing about a fare. The Punta Cana Airport (PUJ) transfers hub covers the arrival in full.
Choosing a class for a longer drive
Capacity matters more when the drive is longer, because a vehicle loaded to its published limit is comfortable for fifteen minutes and less so for the better part of an hour.
The Small SUV is published at two passengers and two suitcases, the Minivan at five and five, the Full-Size SUV at six and six, and the Mercedes Sprinter at sixteen and sixteen. On this run we would rather you booked one class up than travelled exactly at the limit. The fleet page publishes the capacities; we assign by class rather than by individual model.
Stops, water and the practical middle of the drive
A supermarket or pharmacy stop on the way is easy to build in, and on this coast it is worth considering, because the resort is not five minutes from a shop.
Ask when you book, or tell your chauffeur on the day. The vehicle is air-conditioned and the transfer is private, so the stop costs the group nothing but the minutes it takes; there is no other passenger's schedule to protect.
Cancellations and changes
Plans change, and the return is the leg most likely to move. Message us with the new flight and we re-time the pickup; there is no charge for re-timing a booked transfer.
Cancellations follow our standing policy: a full refund fourteen or more days before pickup, a partial refund or a one-year credit inside that window, and nothing refundable inside forty-eight hours.
Punta Cana Airport (PUJ) to Ocean El Faro: questions
- How far is Uvero Alto from Punta Cana Airport (PUJ)?
- It is the longest of our Punta Cana coastal runs. The figure above comes from the Uvero Alto row of our dispatch zone matrix and excludes immigration, baggage claim and check-in.
- Why do you insist on planning the return in advance?
- Because the drive back takes the same zone time again and the airline's check-in window sits on top of it, so the pickup is earlier than most guests expect.
- Is El Beso a different hotel from the Daisy Club?
- No. Ocean El Faro publishes both as sections of the same resort, so the address is the same; we take the section name to know who is travelling.
- Which class suits a longer drive?
- Book one class above your exact limit if you can. The Minivan is published at five passengers and five suitcases, and the Full-Size SUV at six and six.
- Can we stop for supplies on the way?
- Yes. Request it when you book or tell your chauffeur on the day, and the stop is built into the private transfer.

Airport names, terminal layouts and flight schedules are the airports' and airlines' own and change without notice; confirm your own itinerary with your airline. Driving figures on this page come from our routing dataset, are planning figures that vary with traffic, and exclude immigration, baggage claim and hotel check-in. Where the dataset holds no figure for a pair, this page makes the point without a number rather than estimating one.
