Punta Cana Airport (PUJ) to Catalonia Royal Bávaro – Adults Only
Catalonia Royal Bávaro is an adults-only hotel, eighteen and over, in Cabeza de Toro. It is one of the closest all-inclusive addresses to Punta Cana Airport (PUJ), so the transfer question here is almost never the road.
The resort publishes that staying at the Royal gives you access to the Catalonia Bávaro Resort family hotel, located right next door. Two receptions, two guest profiles, one shared address in the same corner of the coast.
That is why we hold the word Royal on the job sheet rather than the word Catalonia. On a drive this short, the minutes you can actually lose are spent inside the terminal and at the wrong reception desk, not on the highway.
Typical driving time to the Bávaro–Verón zone, where the resort sits: about 14 min from Punta Cana Airport (PUJ) (9 km). These are zone-level figures for the whole Bávaro–Verón dispatch zone rather than one property — every resort on this coast dispatches from the same routing row. Dispatch planning figure from our own zone matrix, and actual times vary with traffic. Driving estimates exclude immigration, baggage claim and hotel check-in.

Book my Catalonia Royal Bávaro transferTwo Catalonia hotels, one address in Cabeza de Toro
Catalonia Royal Bávaro is the adults-only hotel; Catalonia Bávaro Resort, which the Royal publishes as the family hotel right next door, is the other. Both sit on the same stretch of Cabeza de Toro, and a chauffeur given only the brand name has been handed a place rather than a door.
So the full published name is what travels with the booking. If your confirmation email from the hotel says Royal, we write Royal; if the party you are travelling with has booked the family hotel instead, that is a different drop-off and we treat it as one. Asking one extra question at the booking stage is cheaper than a five-minute correction at the end of a long flight.
Adults only, eighteen and over, and what that changes
An eighteen-and-over hotel changes the shape of the arrival more than it changes the drive. Bookings here are couples, groups of friends, wedding parties and golf groups far more often than families, and those parties tend to land on several different flights.
We plan each inbound flight as its own job by default, because that is what keeps every arrival direct. If two of your flights land within a reasonable window and you would rather share one vehicle and one wait, tell us and we will time it that way. We never merge your booking with other customers, and a private transfer never quietly becomes a shared one.
The short drive, and what actually costs you time
Cabeza de Toro sits in our Bávaro–Verón dispatch zone, one of the shortest hops we publish from Punta Cana Airport (PUJ). The figure above is the zone figure our matrix dispatches from, and it covers driving only.
On a run this short, the variable is the terminal rather than the road. Immigration, baggage claim and the walk out are not in that number, and they are usually longer than the drive itself. That is the honest way to read it: the car is a small, predictable part of the evening, and the queues are the part worth planning around.
Name the Royal, not just Catalonia
Enter your flight, your party and the hotel exactly as your reservation reads, including Royal. We hold that wording against your booking name so the chauffeur stops at the adults-only reception the first time.
Meeting your chauffeur at Punta Cana Airport (PUJ)
Your chauffeur waits inside the arrivals hall of the terminal your flight lands in, holding a welcome board with your name on it. You do not negotiate at the curb and you do not join a queue at the rank.
We monitor the inbound flight and move the pickup to the real arrival time, and the wait is free for up to two hours after landing. The Punta Cana Airport (PUJ) transfers hub describes the arrivals layout in detail, and VIP fast track can be added to the same booking if you would rather skip the immigration and customs queues altogether.
Choosing a class for two adults with real luggage
Most arrivals for an adults-only hotel are two people, and the Small SUV is published at two passengers with two suitcases. That is exactly a couple travelling normally, with no margin left over.
Add a third case, a set of golf clubs or a dive bag and the Minivan at five passengers and five suitcases is the safer call. The Full-Size SUV carries six and six, and the Mercedes Sprinter sixteen and sixteen when a group arrives together. The published list is on the fleet page; we assign by class and capacity rather than by individual model.
When your party is split between the two hotels
Mixed groups book both Catalonia hotels regularly — the couples at the Royal, the families with children next door. Because the two receptions are separate, that is two confirmed drop-offs and not one hopeful stop.
Give us both hotel names and both flight numbers when you book and we plan it properly, either as two vehicles or as one vehicle with two stops, depending on how the flights fall. The Bávaro destination guide covers the wider area if you want a sense of what sits around Cabeza de Toro.
Late arrivals, and why the short hop still needs a plan
A short drive tempts people to leave the transfer to chance. The problem is that a delayed evening flight, a full immigration hall and a rank with no cars left do not become shorter because the hotel is nearby.
A pre-booked private transfer takes that risk off the table: the chauffeur is already assigned, the vehicle is already yours, and the arrival is monitored whether you land on time or three hours late. Nothing needs to be arranged after you clear customs.
Your return, and our cancellation terms
We agree the departure transfer in advance against the same hotel name, timing it from your flight and the airline's check-in window rather than from the drive. A short road transfer does not mean a late departure from the hotel; check-in queues at the terminal set the clock.
Tell us if the luggage has grown on the way home and we adjust the class before the vehicle is assigned. Cancellations follow our standing policy: a full refund fourteen or more days before pickup, a partial refund or a one-year credit inside that window, and nothing refundable inside forty-eight hours.
Punta Cana Airport (PUJ) to Catalonia Royal Bávaro: questions
- Is Catalonia Royal Bávaro the same as Catalonia Bávaro Resort?
- No. The Royal is the adults-only hotel, eighteen and over; the resort publishes the Catalonia Bávaro Resort family hotel as being right next door. We hold Royal on the booking so the drop-off is unambiguous.
- Where does your driving figure come from?
- From the Bávaro–Verón row of our own dispatch zone matrix, not from the hotel's own distance claim. It is a planning figure, varies with traffic, and excludes immigration, baggage claim and check-in.
- Which vehicle class suits two adults?
- The Small SUV is published at two passengers and two suitcases. With a third case or sports equipment, step up to the Minivan at five and five.
- Can our group arrive on different flights?
- Yes. We plan each flight as its own job by default, and consolidate two arrivals into one vehicle only if you ask us to. You are never placed with other customers.
- How long will the chauffeur wait if we are delayed?
- We monitor the inbound flight and move the pickup to the real landing time, with up to two hours of free waiting after arrival.
