Taíno Bay is not Amber Cove
Both terminals serve Puerto Plata, and itineraries sometimes carry only the city's name — but they are separate facilities with different first road choices. Taíno Bay opened in San Felipe de Puerto Plata in December 2021, with its second stage inaugurated in February 2023, and it is integrated with the city-port area: the historic centre, the waterfront and the Malecón are the natural first moves. Amber Cove is a purpose-built village in Maimón Bay, west of the city — if your paperwork names it, use the Amber Cove guide instead.
