These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of transekur.com and any transportation services you book from Transekur Global LLC ("Transekur," "we," "us," or "our"), a Florida limited liability company with offices in Miami.
By booking a service or using our website, you agree to these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By completing a booking, providing payment, or using any feature of our website, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy.
2. Services Provided
Transekur Global LLC sells ground transportation services in the Dominican Republic, including airport transfers, point-to-point transfers between cities and resorts, hourly chauffeur service ("as-directed"), and VIP Fast Track airport assistance.
Vehicle photographs on the website are for illustrative purposes only. The make and color of the assigned vehicle may differ from the picture, but the vehicle category will not change. If the vehicle category is changed, you will be upgraded to a vehicle of superior characteristics at no additional cost.
Transekur reserves the right to replace vehicles, in case of mechanical problems, with vehicles of the same capacity or greater, but not always in the same color as ordered.
3. Booking and Pricing
All services are priced and sold in United States Dollars (USD). All payments should be made in United States Dollars through all means available. International (non-U.S.) credit card holders could see a different amount on their credit card statement; the difference is due to the exchange rate within banks and is not a direct responsibility of Transekur Global.
We strongly encourage you to have a print copy or an electronic device with your reservation confirmation when meeting your chauffeur.
We cannot guarantee on-time arrival of the vehicle when transportation is booked within less than eight hours of the pickup time.
4. Payment Terms
Payments are processed by Square, a PCI-DSS Level 1 payment processor. Once you complete a reservation on our website, you authorize Transekur Global LLC to charge your credit or debit card for the full amount of the services requested, plus any applicable wait-time charges, damages, cleaning fees, or other charges subsequently incurred under these Terms.
If you elect to save your card on file ("Save my card for this reservation"), you authorize Transekur to retain a tokenized reference of your card with Square solely for the purpose of charging balances, change fees, or damages associated with your specific reservation. You may revoke this authorization at any time by emailing contact@transekur.com. Transekur never sees or stores your full card number.
5. Cancellation and Refund Policy
To qualify for a refund, cancellations must be made at least fourteen (14) days before the scheduled pickup time. To cancel, email contact@transekur.com or call +1 (809) 333-7999 with your reservation number.
- More than 14 days before pickup: full refund.
- Less than 14 days before pickup: no refund.
- No-show: no refund.
Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5-10 business days.
This cancellation policy does not apply to hourly ("as-directed") service. Hourly bookings are non-refundable once the vehicle has been dispatched.
6. Wait Time
Airport pickups (commercial flights): we monitor flight arrivals and dispatch the service according to the actual arrival time. The vehicle waits at the airport, and the driver waits at the pickup location, when the aircraft lands. We provide a 60-minute grace period from the time you clear customs at no additional charge. After 60 minutes, a wait-time fee of US$30 per hour (prorated by the half hour) will apply.
Airport pickups (private / non-commercial flights): include a 30-minute waiting window according to the original request. After 30 minutes you will be billed US$30 per hour for additional wait time.
Non-airport pickups: the chauffeur will wait up to 15 minutes from the scheduled pickup time at no additional charge. After 15 minutes, the same US$30 per hour wait-time fee applies.
Airport departures: the vehicle will be ready to pick you up at your hotel up to three hours before the flight's scheduled departure, plus transit time.
If you have not contacted our office or met your chauffeur within the wait-time window, the reservation may be marked as a no-show and you will be charged in full.
7. Mid-Trip Stops
An airport transfer does not include mid-trip stops. Stops that exceed 10 minutes will be charged at a rate of US$30 per hour or per stop. Stops are limited to one 10-minute stop per hour. The fee will be charged directly to the credit card on file.
8. Hourly Service
Hourly ("as-directed") service is billed from the time the vehicle arrives at the pickup location until the time you release the vehicle, regardless of whether you use it. The rate includes vehicle, driver, fuel, and all taxes. It does not include tolls; tolls should be paid directly by the passenger at the tollbooth.
9. What Rates Include
Rates for airport and point-to-point transfers include vehicle, driver, fuel, all taxes, and tolls. Rates for hourly service include vehicle, driver, fuel, and all taxes but do not include tolls.
Rates for all services do not include gratuity. Although the driver may not ask for a tip, you are welcome to tip our drivers.
10. Force Majeure
Transekur Global LLC is not responsible for travel disruptions resulting from events of force majeure such as weather, natural disasters, earthquakes, storms, tornadoes, hurricanes, acts of war, terrorism, traffic congestion, road closures, road work, accidents, civil unrest, government action, flight delays, or other circumstances that cannot be controlled by the company. Refunds for force-majeure cancellations are at our sole discretion.
11. Liability and Insurance
Local providers operating under contract with Transekur carry vehicle insurance and commercial transportation licenses as required by the Dominican Republic Department of Transportation. Notwithstanding, Transekur Global LLC's total liability arising out of or related to your use of our services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific reservation in question.
Transekur Global will not assume responsibility for any claim or expenses resulting from injury or death during the use of our transportation services. The company will not assume liability in case of accidents, damage to the passenger's property, lack of enjoyment, or physical, mental, or emotional consequences of the situations described above.
Transekur Global is not responsible for the client's failure to obtain proper travel documentation or if local authorities deny entrance to any of its passengers for any reason.
Transekur is not responsible for items left in any vehicle, lost or damaged. If you do forget something in a vehicle please call our office immediately so that we can try to locate it for you.
To the extent permitted by law, the client holds Transekur harmless and not liable for any personal or material damages arising from the conduct of his/her party, whether willful or accidental.
12. Client Conduct
The client is responsible for all damages or cleaning charges incurred by the client or party of the client during service, either willfully or accidentally. The minimum cleaning fee is US$250; damages are assessed at repair cost and charged to the credit card on file.
You agree that you and your party will:
- Not smoke in our vehicle(s).
- Not consume illegal drugs or alcohol in our vehicle(s) by any passengers under 18 years of age.
- Not exceed the passenger capacity of the vehicle provided.
- Comply with local laws in the Dominican Republic. For your safety, our drivers are instructed not to exceed 109 km/h under any circumstance.
Transekur Global and its providers reserve the right to provide transportation services or end a service if they consider it convenient to do so. We reserve the right not to provide service to certain clients at all.
In case of misconduct by your party, the chauffeur has the right to terminate service without any refunds. Possession or consumption of illegal substances will result in immediate termination of service, no refund, and notification of local authorities.
13. SMS Communications
By providing a mobile phone number and opting in to SMS notifications via the booking form's consent checkbox, you consent to receive transactional SMS related to your reservation, including booking confirmation, driver assignment, driver en-route alerts, driver-arrived alerts, and trip completion confirmation.
SMS consent is optional and is not required to complete your booking.
Message frequency varies based on trip activity (typically 3-6 messages per reservation). Message and data rates from your carrier may apply. 14. Privacy
Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
15. Intellectual Property
All content on transekur.com - including text, graphics, logos, images, vehicle photographs, route maps, and software - is the property of Transekur Global LLC or its licensors and is protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content without prior written consent from Transekur.
16. Governing Law
The laws of the market where the service is taking place shall govern claims relating to Transekur Global and its providers.
17. Modifications
We may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of our website or services after the effective date of any modification constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
18. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found by a court to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
